The hotel's name refers to Louis Désiré Derlon, the French chef who left his mark here in the nineteenth century with his hospitality, refinement and attention to detail. What he left behind is still palpable today. Beneath the hotel lie Roman remains of ancient Maastricht. This makes Hotel Derlon one of the most historic locations in the city.
In 2026, the hotel was taken over by a new owner who would like to invite you to be part of a new chapter in this story.
150 years is a fine beginning. But from here, we move forward…
You are most welcome.
